Vassallo Constructions now officially calls Rockhampton home!
The privately-owned company, which commenced operations in Mackay in 1997, has today opened its Rockhampton branch at 1 Denham Street in the CBD.
The company specialises in civil infrastructure including road and bridge building, land development, pipe laying and general earthworks with a portfolio of clients that includes local, state and federal governments, ports, mining, agriculture and urban property developers.
Managing Director Vic Vassallo said the new Rockhampton office boasts a highly regarded management team that is ready to deliver a committed pipeline of works in the Central Queensland region.
“Our capabilities and skillsets have expanded immensely throughout our 22 years in business, although we have grown – we continue to maintain our family values,” Mr Vassallo said.
“We are firm believers in supporting the community, and Rockhampton is now our second home.
“We are currently recruiting for positions from Project Managers through to labourers, to be based out of our Rockhampton branch.”
Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said the opening of Vassallo Constructions highlights the confidence that quality companies have in the Rockhampton Region.
“This really goes to show that the Region is moving in the right direction,” Mayor Strelow said.
“It’s great news for jobs and it’s proof that there are so many new opportunities in our Region that are helping the local construction industry gain momentum.
“Through Council’s Advance Rockhampton team, we have been working closely with Vassallo Constructions to assist them with their new operations in Rockhampton and today we are delighted to welcome them as the newest residents in our CBD,” Mayor Strelow said.
Vassallo Constructions will start their recruitment campaign in the coming weeks and expect to be able to fill majority of positions from within the local community
