VicScreen Announces New Screen Culture Program

VicScreen has announced its new Screen Culture Program. Replacing the Audience Engagement Program, the Screen Culture Program will invest in events and activities that contribute to Victoria as a vibrant arts and cultural hub. This funding provides vital support to organisations presenting screen activities across the state that bring audiences together to participate in outstanding screen experiences.

Screen Culture investment enables communities across Victoria to access diverse screen work and experiences, from film and television to digital media, games and virtual reality. Funding is open to Victorian-based organisations with a proven track record of delivering creative programs, and encourages proposals that reflect diversity, equity, and inclusion in both content and creative teams.

Eligible activities include film festivals and programs, digital games showcases narrative-driven interactive experiences, one-off events and activities at the intersection of traditional and new technologies. The program offers grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 depending on the scale and reach of the proposed activity.

Applications for the Screen Culture Program open on Monday 2 September. Interested organisations are encouraged to visit the VicScreen website for detailed guidelines and application times.

Applications will be assessed based on their contribution to Victoria as a vibrant hub of creative and cultural activity, including their ability to engage diverse audiences, foster community connections, and promote innovation.
