Hawkesbury Library Service is thrilled to be hosting a Sydney Crime Writers BAD event in partnership with Catherine du Peloux Menagé, (Artistic Director, Sydney Crime Writers BAD Festival 2019) who will present ‘In Conversation with Michael Robotham’ on Wednesday, 20 November at Hawkesbury Central Library.
Michael Robotham’s latest release Good Girl, Bad Girl is an unnerving psychological thriller from one of the greatest crime writers of today. American crime writer Karen Slaughter describes the book as “a gripping and eerie read… you won’t be able to look away”.
Good Girl, Bad Girl focuses on the characters of Evie and Cyrus. Evie Cormac is a girl without a past. Six years ago, filthy and half starved, she was discovered hiding in a secret room in the aftermath of a shocking crime. Now approaching adulthood, Evie is damaged, self-destructive and has never revealed her true identity. Meanwhile, Cyrus has another crime to investigate – the death of champion figure-skater Jodie Sheehan. The two cases are soon interwoven, drawing him into a world of secrets where nobody is
telling the truth and only one person knows who’s lying.
Cleverly constructed, swiftly paced, and emotionally explosive, Good Girl, Bad Girl is the perfect thrilling summer read from the internationally bestselling author that David Baldacci called ‘the real deal’ and author Stephen King describes as an ‘absolute master’.Don’t miss this exciting event with Michael Robotham, winner of the UK’s Crime Writers’ Association Gold Dagger Award 2015.
