The Student Satisfaction Survey is Victoria’s biggest student survey. Delivered by the Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) (an office of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industries and Regions) it’s an important chance for vocational education and training students to have their say on the quality and relevance of their training.
Survey results are used to inform course improvements – helping TAFEs and other training providers to meet the needs of future students and deliver qualifications for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
Every student who completed or left a Victorian vocational education and training course in 2022 has been personally invited to participate in the survey.
Former VET student Veena said she believes it’s important to give feedback. Veena was also one of 20 students who won a cash prize for completing the survey last year. This year there are ten $1000 prizes and ten $500 prizes to be given away, across five prize draws.
‘I would definitely encourage students to complete the survey,’ said Veena. ‘[The survey] was a really good opportunity for me to express appreciation and provide feedback. When I found out I was a prize winner I was extremely pleased. I am going to use the prize money to do further studies and also invest in resources.’
All students who completed or exited any government-funded VET course provided by registered training providers in 2022 have been sent a personal invitation to complete the 2023 Victorian Student Satisfaction Survey. Those who complete the survey will be entered into up to five prize draws to win prizes valued up to $1000.
