PTV and Yarra Trams are renewing the tracks and overhead network on Victoria Street, between Church St and Burnley St, which is in critical need of replacement.
Victoria Street will be closed from Church St to Burnley St to all vehicles between 10pm, 21 August until 5am, 30 August. Works will go for 24 hours and noise is expected.
Pedestrian access will remain unchanged, as well as access to properties, shops and businesses.
PTV and Yarra Trams have engaged the local community and will work with them to minimise the impacts to businesses and residents. There will be temporary changes to traffic and parking conditions in the area. Traffic management and traffic controllers will be onsite at all times and signage will be in place to direct traffic.
Preliminary works and set up begins 12 August, 2020.
