Victorian Hospitals Receive Cutting-Edge New Equipment

  • Minister for Health

The Andrews Labor Government is giving hospitals in Victoria the latest cutting-edge equipment so that they can continue to do what they do best – save lives.

Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos today announced the hospitals that will share in the latest round of Medical Equipment Replacement Program and Engineering Infrastructure Replacement Program grants.

The Labor Government is investing $60 million on new life-saving equipment for our hospitals and important facilities like sprinklers, patient lifts, air handling units and hot water systems.

Cutting-edge medical equipment such as mammography units, fluoroscopy units, digital X-ray machines and gamma cameras are also being rolled out for Victorian hospitals.

The Labor Government is delivering billions of dollars in funding to ensure our hospitals can treat more patients than ever, with the world-class equipment and facilities that doctors and nurses need.

The Government is also delivering the biggest pipeline of infrastructure projects in Victorian history. We invested $3.2 billion on infrastructure in our first term and have another $3.8 billion on the way.
