Today I will travel to New Delhi, India to undertake important bilateral engagements on matters of mutual interest.
Australia and India are close partners with enduring strategic, economic and community ties. We share a vision for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
I will meet with counterparts in India to discuss our constructive approach to skilled migration and continue to build on Australia and India’s strong people-to-people ties.
This visit is also an opportunity to engage with India on new migration initiatives, including the Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-professional Scheme (MATES) and the Work and Holiday Maker partnership, both of which are significant bilateral achievements for our two countries.
