Once again, Ballarat residents can vote for their favourite heritage project. Voting is now open in the National Trust People’s Choice Award as part of the 2019 Ballarat Heritage and Design Excellence Awards.
The popular People’s Choice Award was presented for the first time in 2017. It attracted more than 470 votes, with the Award going to the restoration and adaptive reuse of 208-210 Sturt Street by Colliers International.
The number of votes increased to more than 700 last year, with Alan Phelps and David Young of Central Joinery winning the Award for their work on the restoration of the Old Colonists’ Association Building Shopfronts.

Voting closes at 5pm on Sunday 19 May, 2019.
The award winners from all categories, including People’s Choice, will be announced on Friday 24 May at a ceremony at The Hydrant, hosted by the National Trust of Australia (Vic) Ballarat branch and supported by the City of Ballarat.
