The 2024 “Caring for Country Music Competition” has received 20 entries from Northern Territory musicians, with a focus on connecting people with biosecurity messaging in a fun, interactive and engaging way.
Residents of the Northern Territory were invited to enter the competition under the categories of school, group and individual, with all entries eligible for the most innovative and most creative awards.
A panel of judges with representatives from DAFF, NAPCaRN, MusicNT and NT DAF will assess the entries on the creativity, originality, lyrics, melody and alignment with biosecurity messaging and goals.
Members of the public are invited to participate in voting for the “People’s Choice Award”, open for two weeks from 7-25 October.
Winners for all categories will be announced in November.
