It’s not every day you get given a $100 voucher to live it up in your home town.
Premier Mark McGowan and Tourism Minister Paul Papalia, announced today a campaign that will give 10,000 Western Australians a $100 discount when they spend at least $200 on a combination of tours or experiences.
The campaign is designed to provide direct support to the State’s tour and experience businesses as they manage the impacts of COVID-19.
Mayor Brad Pettitt said vouchers provided a great opportunity for people to enjoy the incredible tours and experiences on offer in Fremantle.
“We’ve all had to change our plans this year, whether it’s rescheduling trips, family holidays or celebrations,” Mayor Pettitt said
“This campaign is a great incentive for Western Australian’s to make the most of the spring sunshine and get out to explore some amazing attractions in the knowledge you are giving our tourism industry a much-needed boost.”
“We think it’s a great opportunity to experience what’s new in WA’s favourite maritime city.”

This remarkable history, unbelievable tales of miraculous escapes, stories of ghosts and haunted buildings, the connection to the sea, adventures and adversity provide a rich source of inspiration for Fremantle’s tourism operators and attractions.
To inspire West Australians to spend their voucher in Fremantle, VISIT FREMANTLE has launched a series of itineraries for people to spend their voucher.
Three itineraries offer inspiration for a half day express trip, a full day hangout or an entire weekend warrior to experience with your significant other, family or a group of friends.
The HALF DAY EXPRESS recommends a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Fremantle Prison or a guided walking tour, while the FULL DAY HANGOUT is a full day of fun and leisure that kicks off with Whale Watch Western Australia tour followed by lunch at Fishing Boat Harbour and a brewery tour at Little Creatures Brewery.
The WEEKEND WARRIOR combines the half day express and the full day hangout with the option to include twilight sails, a tall ship experience or a catch, cook and keep rock lobster tour and one or two nights at one of Fremantle’s boutique hotels.
And of course Fremantle is the gateway to Rottnest Island. With vouchers on offer and Quokka birthday celebrations in full swing, now is the time to take a cruise to the island.

How it works:
- Vouchers will be available to the first 10,000 people who register at from 10 am on Monday, September 21.
- The limited number of vouchers will be on offer – with Western Australians able to register online on a first-in, best-dressed basis.
- Participants will also be able to bundle several tours and experiences through participating visitor centres.
- The tour or experience must be booked by October 31, 2020, and undertaken by the end of the year.
