The Department of Health has today launched The Journey of Health and Wellbeing animated video to promote the community’s understanding of Aboriginal people’s experience from colonisation to the present day.
Launched in conjunction with ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week, the 10-minute animation encourages Western Australians to reflect and confront shared histories, and highlights goals of positive change and growth.
The video, marked for inclusion in the Department of Health’s developing cultural e-learning package, has also been made available to communities across Western Australia. It has been produced by the Department of Health’s Aboriginal Health Policy Directorate and is based on the original concept from Mr Tim Muirhead and Mr Danny Ford.

As noted by Health Director General Dr D J Russell-Weisz:
“I encourage all Western Australians to watch this video and actively engage with the messages of wellbeing, hope and growth that it conveys.

“I thank the Department’s Aboriginal Health Policy Directorate, and the work of Mr Tim Muirhead and Mr Danny Ford, for their involvement in the production of The Journey of Health and Wellbeing video.”
