- Cost of Living Rebate payments to increase over the next four years, outlined in the 2023-24 State Budget
The WA Government has urged Western Australian Seniors Card members to ensure they are registered to receive the Cost of Living Rebate in 2023.
The annual Cost of Living Rebate is a State Government initiative available to WA Seniors Card members to assist with cost of living pressures.
WA Seniors Card members must register by 31 May 2023 to receive this year’s payment, which will be made in late July. Previously registered members do not need to reapply unless their bank details have changed.
In addition to the Cost of Living Rebate, WA Seniors Card holders continue to have access to some of the most valuable range of State Government concessions and rebates in Australia, including free off-peak public transport, concessions on local government rates and water service charges, and the $400 Safety and Security rebate.
As part of the McGowan Government’s $715 million cost of living package delivered in the 2023-24 State Budget, expenditure on Senior’s Cost of Living Rebate payments will be increased by $15.6 million over the next four years.
