Talented individuals aspiring to develop innovations addressing problems arising from an unmet health or medical need or opportunity in Western Australia can now apply for the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund, Innovation Fellowships.
The inaugural Innovation Fellowships will be awarded through a competitive and merit-based process.
Funding of up to $150,000 is available to support the Fellow’s salary and innovation activity costs.
Successful applicants will be supported by their nominated expert mentors and supervisors to develop a novel process, product and/or service with commercial potential that is of significance to the health of the WA community.
The innovation could be incremental, transformative or disruptive.
Fellowships will enhance the innovation knowledge, skills and experience of successful applicants, as well as harness cooperative culture across WA innovation and commercialisation sectors.
