Residents are invited to have a say about two new walking and cycling paths that will soon be constructed in Mill Park and South Morang.
The paths, destined for Bush Boulevard, from Plenty Road to McDonalds Road, and Yan Yean Pipe Track, from Darebin Creek Trail to Bush Boulevard, will be built in stages starting early 2021.
We’d like to receive your feedback about important features and opportunities along the paths including:
- Seating, repair stations, water points, landscaping and road crossings
- How to maximise inclusion, access and safety on the paths for the entire community
- What community programs or activities you would like to see on the land that the shared paths run through.
These will be well-used shared path links for Mill Park and South Morang residents – a step forward in achieving our Active Whittlesea plan.
Shared paths have a range of community benefits, including improved physical activity and social cohesion, improved road safety, and improved accessibility to local community hubs for pedestrians and cyclists.
