Moving Forward Together is happy to announce that its popular Harmony Walk is returning after long absence due to Covid. It will be held at Heffron Park, Maroubra on Saturday 16 October from 11am to 2pm.
Harmony Walk 2022 will be family fun day, which will feature a wide variety of community entertainers on stage including the Moriah Jazz Band, Gamay Indigenous Dancers with guest appearances by the Sydney Swans and much, much more….all for free.
“Our Harmony Walks aim to bring together Sydney siders from diverse backgrounds to help build an inclusive society” said Ernie Friedlander OAM President of Moving Forward Together. “There will be a short fun walk around Heffron Park, where we will get to celebrate all that is great about our multicultural community.”
“We are anticipating over 1,000 people will attend the event. The first 60 people to get down to Heffron Park will receive a free Harmony Walk T-shirt or cap” said Mr Friedlander.
With four hours of music, dance and sports stars, it promises to be a really exiting day.
Four local Councils – Randwick, Bayside, Waverley and Woollahra have come together to support the event. It is also supported by Multiculture NSW, NSW Police and many more State and Federal organisations.
