A man wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant has been charged over alleged malicious damage-related offences in Sydney’s south.
Officers attached to St George Police Area Command commenced an investigation following more than 40 reports of alleged malicious damage to vehicles in the Kingsgrove area on Sunday 15 September 2024.
Following extensive inquiries, a 41-year-old man was arrested by ACT Police at Canberra Airport yesterday (Wednesday 25 September 2024).
He appeared before ACT Magistrate’s Court today (Thursday 26 September 2024), where an application for extradition was granted.
He was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station, where the warrant was executed, and he was charged with 43 counts of damage or destroy property.
The man was refused bail to appear before Queanbeyan Local Court tomorrow (Friday 27 September 2024).
