Under the current celebrations will look very different for footy fans this year, but there are still plenty of ways to watch the grand final and celebrate safely.

We’re also showing our support of the Cats ahead of Saturday night’s AFL Grand Final.
Each night in the lead up to the game, we’ll be lighting up City Hall blue and white along with the message ‘Go Cats’ projected on the façade of the building.
Our catenary lights at the intersection of Malop and Moorabool Streets in central Geelong are shining blue and white every evening this week and our Cats banners and billboards continue to be on display across the region. A Cats flags is also now flying high at City Hall.
Stay safe and celebrate
While this year may be different, the excitement is certainly still there! With the current COVID-19 restrictions in place for regional Victoria, we need to plan our celebrations on Saturday night accordingly.
We can’t host parties or attend large gatherings on Saturday night. Watching the game at a local pub or restaurant is a great COVID-Safe way to enjoy the grand final in the company of others, while supporting our local venues as they recover from the impact of the restrictions.
