The Tasmanian Government has followed Public Health advice since the start of the pandemic to keep Tasmanians safe and we will continue to be guided by the experts – not Josh Willie and the Labor party.
It is important now more than ever that we continue to follow that advice as we prepare for our borders to re-open on the 15th of December.
Work is underway across a range of measures to reduce possible transmission of COVID-19 in schools, including improving natural ventilation, purchasing air purifiers and upgrading outdoor learning areas.
Despite pledging not to play politics with the pandemic, Labor have once again today made dangerous claims in a bid to get a headline.
The fact remains that ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Cabinet was briefed on Rapid Antigen Testing for schools at its most recent meeting and agreed to develop a ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ly consistent framework for the use of RAT.
This is the appropriate mechanism to progress this matter.
Mr Willie is again simply politicising the pandemic with no relevant awareness of what is occurring nationally nor does he have any relevant health expertise.
