Logan City Council’s BushCare program will mark its 21st year with a ‘Big Day Out’ special planting at the Eagleby Wetlands on Sunday, September 15.
The public is invited to the free event from 8am to 10am.
Hosted in conjunction with Conservation Volunteers Australia, the Big Day Out will include planting of native trees and grasses. Free morning tea will be provided.
The BushCare program, which was launched by Council in 1998, provides an opportunity for the community and Council to collaborate in maintaining and restoring important environmental areas.
The program aims to restore natural areas by:
- controlling weeds
- establishing new habitat through planting
