Residents of an apartment block clad in dangerous flammable material in Frankston South were present in Parliament today when Shadow Planning Minister, Tim Smith questioned Planning Minister, Richard Wynne about why these residents have received no assistance from the government to help make their homes safe.
The very real concern these residents have about the safety of their homes is affecting their health and wellbeing, and still Labor has failed to take the necessary action to help them.
This critical issue is clearly not a high priority for the Andrews Labor Government.
In December 2017 Richard Wynne promised he would appoint a State Building Inspector, to lead the response to this cladding crisis. 461 days later and no appointment has been made. Dithering Dick Wynne needs to get off his backside and make this crucial appointment.
Planning Minister Richard Wynne must assist the residents of this Frankston South apartment block and not treat them as an irrelevance, as has until now.
