The ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Farmers’ Federation has now committed 100 per cent of the donations to worthy charities actively supporting farmers.
The final $1,867,400 will be distributed to the Western Queensland Drought Committee (for farmers and small businesses), Blaze Aid, St Vincent de Paul, Drought Angels and the CWA.
“These organisations, along with many other who received funding in previous distribution rounds, have done a fantastic job at delivering much needed aid straight to the doorsteps of struggling farmers, their families and communities,” NFF CEO Tony Mahar said.
“This aid has come in the form of grocery and fuel vouchers, assistance with household expenses, mental health services, volunteer workers, and importantly – feed and fodder for livestock.”

A staggering $10.1 million was raised to support drought-affected farmers since the Appeal launched on 2 August. The Appeal was run as a partnership between Channel 9, Rotary Australia World Community Service and the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Farmers’ Federation (NFF).
The NFF was responsible for directing where money was spent to ensure it had maximum impact on the ground. The NFF instigated a rule that 100% of funds raised had to directly benefit farmers, and recipient charities had to adhere to strict governance and reporting requirements.
With 100% of these funds now out the door, we can reveal the final tally of which charities benefited from the community’s generosity.
