5G is in the house, as Optus today announces it is rolling out to its wholesale postpaid partners the ability to enable and purchase services from Optus to offer 5G ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Broadband to their customers.
Optus is the first mobile network operator in Australia to offer access to a 5G service to its wholesale partners or Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs). Optus easy plug and play 5G home internet alternative enables users to immediately transform their home broadband experience in a few easy steps, without the need for a technician or professional installation.
Available to Optus wholesale partners now, 5G ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Broadband will offer users the chance to experience next-generation internet that combines the speed of 5G, unlimited data and the convenience of wireless connectivity in an area covered by Optus 5G network.

With a simple set up, 5G ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Broadband allows customers to instantly transform their connected home experience. 5G ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Broadband customers can simply plug in the device, follow the steps and its ready to go. And if they move home, customers can take the device with them if their new location is covered by the Optus 5G network.

Optus currently has more than 860 5G sites switched on and is rolling out in selected areas. 5G is not available in TAS or NT.
5G ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Broadband will be available to select wholesale postpaid partners in line with the Optus 5G roll-out and Optus wholesale contracts. SpinTel will be the first wholesale partner to enable 5G in the initial wholesale roll-out. Commercial terms between Optus and wholesale partners are confidential.
