Police are investigating the wilful damage of police vehicles in Townsville overnight.
Around 9.45pm, a stolen white Toyota Landcruiser pulled up to a parked police vehicle on Ross River Road, Aitkenvale.
The occupants of the vehicle threw a spanner at the police vehicle, causing minor damage to the rear.
The stolen vehicle has proceeded to drive dangerously before fleeing the scene.
Later that night around 1am, occupants from the same stolen vehicle threw rocks at another parked police vehicle on Gladstone Street, Pimlico.
One of the windows of the police vehicle was shattered as a result.
No one was injured in either incident.
Further investigations indicate the stolen vehicle has been involved in a number of linked incidents, including wilful damage of a civilian vehicle in Cluden on November 1 and a hit and run traffic crash into a parked civilian vehicle in Vincent on November 3.
The stolen Toyota Landcruiser was dumped and set alight this morning in Louise Street, Cranbrook.
The vehicle was stolen from a Mysterton address between October 25 and 26.
Investigations are continuing.
