Cessnock City Council is giving local residents the opportunity to win a pottery workshop for themselves and three friends, as part of this month’s Support Local campaign.

For the month of August, the campaign is spotlighting the amazing businesses across the Greater Cessnock area, that keep our community vibrant and thriving.

Cessnock City Council Economic Development and Tourism Manager Tony Chadwick said the competition is a great way to uplift local businesses and share the amazing services they provide to our community.

“The Support Local campaign is all about recognising and appreciating the businesses that make our LGA thrive,” said Mr Chadwick.

“By entering this competition, residents can shine a light on the fantastic businesses in our area, while also going into the running to win a special treat with friends.”

Residents are encouraged to give a shoutout in 25 words or less to their favourite local business in the Cessnock LGA. To enter, simply post a photo of the business, staff or product on Facebook, tag them, and use the hashtag #supportlocalcessnock for your chance to win.

The winner will be selected at random and will head out to Lovedale with three friends to enjoy a wine, cheese and pottery making workshop with Hunter Valley Ceramics and Stomp! Wines.

The competition will run from 1 to 30 August 2024. Winners will be announced in early September via Advance Greater Cessnock’s social media channels.
