If you love a laugh and have an interest in wine, Mildura Arts Centre has the perfect night out planned for you when The Wine Bluffs is performed in Mildura next month.

The Wine Bluffs features three-time Barry Award nominee Damian Cullinan, known for his appearances on television shows including Skithouse and Spicks & Specks, and most recently in the film adaptation of his one-man play The Merger, and comedy writer Paul Calleja, who writes for television shows including The Project and Before the Game.

They’ll perform as The Wine Bluffs at Mildura Arts Centre at 7.30pm on Friday 17 May, and will appeal to a broad demographic – you don’t have to be a wine connoisseur!

Describing themselves as ‘well-cellared comedians’ the duo have performed to sold-out shows and rave reviews for more than five years, taking audiences on a comedic journey through the cellar door experience.

They’ll help you match wine to Chiko Rolls, translate over-written bottle blurbs and help you create the illusion that you know what you are doing even if you don’t.

In keeping with the wine theme, the night will start at 6.30pm with wine-tasting in the MAC foyer provided by Trentham Estate before the show gets under way.

And after the show has finished, Damian and Paul, who like to meet and chat with their audiences, will likely be in the MAC foyer/bar area afterwards.

Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said The Wine Bluffs is yet another great addition to the Mildura Arts Centre’s line-up of shows this year.

“We may live in one of the most isolated areas of Victoria, but we’re certainly not isolated in terms of the arts and this is another great example of bringing a performance that has headlined shows in Melbourne to our part of the world in north west Victoria,” Cr Modica said.

“This is a show best enjoyed with company – making it perfect for a group outing or that fun night out on a date.”
