Wollondilly Beach Bus prepares to hit road for its tenth year

Wollondilly Council

Relief from the summer heat is at hand, with the Wollondilly Beach Bus getting ready to hit the road in January 2023 for its tenth year of operation.

The Beach Bus is an excellent opportunity to get out of the house and hang out at North Wollongong Beach during the holiday period.

Wollondilly Shire Council, Picton Buslines and SIMEC Mining have worked together to provide the Beach Bus for the benefit of the Wollondilly community for the past 10 years.

Mayor Matt Gould said, “We are thankful for the ongoing partnerships which have kept this popular service going for a decade, giving people of all ages the opportunity to access the beaches. We hope we can continue this service for many more years. “

The Beach Bus offers Wollondilly residents of all ages free travel to North Wollongong Beach, from 12 stops across the Shire. Two buses will travel on separate routes, one leaving from Bargo and the other one from Warragamba.

The Beach Bus will run each Tuesday during January 2023: 3 January, 10 January, 17 January and 24 January.
