A woman will face court today charged over the alleged manufacture of a prohibited drug at Port Macquarie.
About 10am yesterday (Wednesday 7 August 2024), police from the Coffs Harbour Region Enforcement Squad – assisted by the Mid North Coast Police District – executed a search warrant at a property on Bourne Street, Port Macquarie.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized several items of interest including psilocybin, steroids, a firearm, ammunition and drug-related paraphernalia.
Police will allege in court that the premises was being used for the illegal manufacture and supply of psilocybin.
A 50-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where she was charged with:
- Two counts of possess prohibited drug
- Manufacture prohibited drug (greater than or equal to large commercial quantity)
- Supply prohibited drug (greater than or equal to large commercial quantity)
- Possess unauthorised pistol
- Not keep firearm safely
- Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
She was refused bail to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Thursday 8 August 2024).
