A woman has been charged after drugs and stolen property were seized during a search warrant in the Manning / Great Lakes area yesterday.
In June 2024, offices from Manning / Great Lakes Police District commenced an investigation into the supply of Methylamphetamine allegedly being sold in the Taree area.
On Tuesday (30 July 2024), police arrested a 48-year-old woman on River Street in Taree after Methylamphetamine was found in the parked car that she was sitting in.
Police will allege the woman attempted to discard the drugs when officers were approaching.
She was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station while a subsequent search warrant was executed at a property on Pulteney Street, Taree.
During the search police seized approximately amount of Methylamphetamine, along with cannabis, and small quantities of prescribed restricted substances. Police also seized cash, a locked safe, and stolen property.
The woman was charged with:
– Supply prohibited drug indictable & commercial quantity
– Deal with property proceeds of crime $100000 & $5000
– Two counts Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance
– Two counts Possess prohibited drug
– Goods in custody suspected of being stolen
The woman was bail refused to appear at Taree Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 31 July 2024) where she was bail refused to appear again on the 20 August 2024.
