A woman will appear in court charged with murder following an alleged stabbing in Matraville yesterday.
About 6.15pm on Tuesday (28 May 2024), emergency services responded to a report of a domestic incident at a residence on Murrabin Avenue, Matraville.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 37-year-old man, however, he died at the scene.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Police, assisted by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested nearby the scene and taken to hospital.
Following inquiries, she was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with murder (DV).
She was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 30 May 2024).
