Sadly, a woman has died after a crash in Burnie earlier this month.
Police and emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash about 1pm on Saturday 3 August at the intersection of the Bass Highway and West Park Grove in Burnie.
The drivers – and sole occupants – of each vehicle were taken to the North West Regional Hospital after the crash.
One of those drivers – a 90 year old woman – died yesterday.
The other driver received non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and anyone with information should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
