A woman has died after she was hit by a car at Lidcombe overnight.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of John and Calool streets, about 8.30pm (Saturday 16 February 2019), and found a 74-year-old woman suffering critical head injuries.
Despite efforts by paramedics, the woman died at the scene.
A 21-year-old man driving the car has been taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police are speaking with a number of witnesses.
