A woman stabbed during a brawl last month in the state’s south has died.
Emergency services were called to Wegit Way, Warrawong, about 6.30pm on Wednesday 22 November 2023, following reports of a brawl.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District found a 39-year-old woman with stab wounds. She was taken to Wollongong Hospital, in a critical condition.
An adult and six teenagers have been charged in relation to the matter and remain before the courts.
Detectives were today (Saturday 2 December 2023) notified that the woman has since died at Wollongong Hospital.
Investigations into the incident continue.
