A female passenger has died after a two-vehicle crash in the Nepean area yesterday.
About 6.45pm (Thursday 22 December 2022), emergency services were called to Mulgoa Road, Mulgoa, after reports of a two-vehicle collision.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command attended and were told Ford Fiesta sedan travelling north bound veered into oncoming traffic, before colliding with a Mazda BT50 utility.
A female passenger of the Ford Fiesta, yet to be formally identified, believed to be aged in her mid-20s, died at the scene.
The male driver of the utility was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established which was examined by specialist officers.
Traffic was significantly impacted in the area, with both north and south bound directions closed and diversions in place while emergency services attended the scene of the crash.
An investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
