A woman involved in a serious crash at Wynarka last week has died in hospital.
At 8.20am Friday 7 July emergency services were called to the Karoonda Highway between Wynarka and Chapman Bore after reports of a two-car crash.
The driver of a Hyundai sedan, a 30-year-old Renmark woman, was airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition.
Sadly, she died from her injuries in hospital last night.
The driver of a Nissan ute, a 63-year-old Karoonda man, was also taken to Murray Bridge Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Major Crash investigators attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
The woman’s death is the 66th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year, compared to 40 at the same time last year.
