A woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car at Strathfield earlier in the week.
Emergency services were called to ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾bush Road near Burlington Road, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.
Police have been told a 70-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a Toyota Kluger traveling southbound.
The 70-year-old woman was treated at the scene and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition, where she died yesterday (Friday 20 September 2019).
The driver of the Toyota Kluger, a 43-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Auburn Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was forensically examined by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.
