Women in Community Life Awards a Success

Following the Women in Community Life Awards on Friday 6 March, the City of Greater Geelong would like to congratulate Emily Sutcliffe as the winner of the Women in Community Life Award for Leading Gender Equality in Sport.

Emily was unable to attend the ceremony; however, she was handed her trophy the following day at Leisure Networks, the Award sponsor.

Thank you to all the supporters of the Women in Community Life Awards, which was held on International Women’s Day.

Committee of Geelong, for organising tote packs for all in attendance and promoting this year’s International Women’s Day theme ‘Each for Equal’. GMHBA, for providing the photographer for the evening, and Nicole Marie for running the photobooth for the evening.

The photobooth encouraged people to make the equal sign with their arms, supporting the ‘Each for Equal’ theme. The photos taken will be used to promote the theme for the remainder of the year.

The City of Greater Geelong and the Women in Community Life Advisory Committee praise the following supporters behind the success of the event, Barwon Health, Christine Cousens MP, Committee for Geelong, GMHBA, Jean Hailes, Leisure Networks, Women’s Health and Well-being Barwon South West, and the Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre.
