Wonderful Wardell - a day to connect, play and get creative

Wonderful Wardell is a fun one-day event, offering the community an opportunity to get creative, catch some tunes and share time with family and friends.

From 10am – 3pm on Sunday 30 June 2024, the Wonderful Wardell event will bring the western end of Richmond Street alive with free, fun, and playful activities for people of all ages along with a great line up of the region’s most imaginative artists and facilitators, musicians, and performers.

The line-up includes a Pop-Up Play Space from internationally recognised, Northern Rivers based Roundabout Theatre. There will be music from Wardell’s own Serendipiti, Bella Frankie, Andrea Soler, and the Evans River High Band.

There will be a range of family friendly creative art workshops for all ages, skill levels and abilities including:

  • Gentle natural fibre weaving with Aunty Tania Marlowe and Deb Cole from Jugan Dandii
  • Creative design workshop with Kate Stroud, that will become part of a beautiful mural to be displayed in Wardell
  • Artwork workshops with Jeremy Austin to create designs that will decorate the pavement tiles for the future Wardell Village Centre Revitalisation project
  • Collaborative chalk mosaic activities with The Chalkies
  • Let’s Stick Together Collage workshop with Claudie Frock
  • Music workshop from Andrea Soler.
