Woolworths partners with PFD for deliveries to B2B customers

Following recent unprecedented demand for its online delivery services, Woolworths has partnered with leading Australian Food Services Supplier PFD to support the temporary fulfillment of orders to its B2B customers.

The mutually beneficial partnership is aimed at easing stock constraints brought on by the recent demand for groceries. It provides Woolworths access to PFD Foods’ current product range and stock, and their order fulfilment and last mile solutions through the supermarket’s website.

Woolworths B2B customers are able to order from the PFD product range, which includes a selected range of bakery, freezer, meat, poultry, seafood and pantry staples. Due to the nature of PFDs offering, B2B customers will be serviced first, with the potential for large household customers to access the products via Woolworths online down the track.

Woolworths Group CEO Brad Banducci said: “Assisting essential services that are still operating, like day care centres, schools, disability services and nursing homes at this time is extremely important.

“By partnering with PFD we can help these businesses to place bulk orders which meet their requirements through our online service.

“This partnership will also ensure we can continue to focus on increasing capacity within our traditional online business at a time when demand has never been higher for home delivery.”

PFD Food Services CEO Kerry Smith said: “We are pleased to partner with Woolworths to provide additional support to their business to ensure the delivery of food and groceries to essential businesses who continue to operate to support the community during these challenging times.”

When Woolworths B2B customers place an order for PFD stock with Woolworths, PFD will pack and deliver the order within three days.
