(WCFFD), an initiative launched in 2016 by the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF) to address the need for greater global awareness of dental caries, is only a month away.
To be marked on Monday 14 October, WCFFD asks people everywhere to join the fight against tooth decay by choosing water over sugary drinks for a day (and, of course, well beyond).
Worldwide, this year’s event has a particular focus on children under two, using #BabiesAreSweetEnough but the Australia/New Zealand A Cavity Free Future Committee is highlighting the theme #ChooseWater for all ages.
In support of WCFFD, the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF) have partnered with the ADA and Colgate to launch a #WCFFDay dental awareness campaign aimed at preventing cavities in adults and children.
How can ADA members participate?
– Mark the day with activities in your practice, workplace or out in the community and for one of 20 packs containing 20 water bottles, 20 toothbrushes and 20 toothpastes (adult only)
– Use social media resources with your friends/families/co-workers/neighbours/health professional colleagues and become an ambassador for a cavity-free future.
