World class racing will come to the Top End this weekendwhen BMX Australias 2019 BAD BOY ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Series hits the Satellite City BMXtrack.
The event held tomorrow will be stage four of seven in thenational series that began in Sydney in February and concludes in October.
With world rankings points on the line, many of Australiastop elite riders and some of New Zealands best are expected to make the tripto the Top End in a bid to strengthen their place in the global standings aspreparations continue towards Olympic selection in 2020.
The series includes three separate competitions one forchallenge (age) classes, another for superclass and the final series for eliteand junior elite events, where riders will be able to earn individual worldrankings points which help qualify riders for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

BMX is one of Australias most popular sports, enjoyed bypeople of all ages, status and social backgrounds.
Last year fans at Satellite City BMX were treated to somespectacular riding during stage three of the 2018 BMX ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Series.
We are thrilled to again welcome this exciting event to theTop End and to deliver an elite level of BMX for Territorians to enjoy.
It is estimated there will be more than 350 entries for theevent, alongside hundreds more family and supporters preparing to make the tripto Darwin.

We have undertaken a thorough process in selecting venuesfor the 2019 BMX ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Series and the world class facility at Satellite Citywas one of several tracks and clubs that stood out.
Our feedback from riders, coaches and officials is thatthis venue works for an event of this stature.
We are looking forward to working with the NorthernTerritory Government to produce a top class event for the BMX Australiafamily.
