WWE frenzy hits fever pitch as Superstars face off at Optus Stadium

Wrestling fever has taken over Western Australia with thousands of fans expected to flock to Optus Stadium today to see WWE Superstars face off ahead of tomorrow’s Elimination Chamber: Perth.

Open to all fans from 12pm, today’s free media and fan event will showcase WWE Superstar rivalries and set the scene for tomorrow night’s Australian-exclusive Premium Live Event, with expected appearances from WWE Superstars including Rhea Ripley, Logan Paul, Randy Orton, Becky Lynch and Chief Content Officer, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.

Special train services will be put on from Perth to the Stadium Station to help fans enjoy the free entertainment on Optus Stadium’s Southern Oval.

The WWE Superstars touched down in WA on Wednesday, their longest time in market, with Perth rolling out the red carpet with city-wide banners, light activations at iconic Perth locations, and a one-off Superstore for fans in Forrest Place.

Limited tickets are available for the WWE Premium Live Event on Saturday, 24 February 2024 with tens of thousands of fans expected to attend the sports entertainment spectacle, where Superstars will battle it out in a custom-built wrestling chamber.

Supported by the WA Government, WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth is expected to generate millions in visitor spend and boost local tourism, hospitality and accommodation businesses.

Elimination Chamber: Perth will be broadcast live to WWE’s extensive global audience of 165 countries worldwide and more than one billion homes.

The Superstars have visited iconic Perth locations like Rottnest Island, the Margaret River region and the Swan Valley, which will be showcased during the event broadcast and published on the Superstars’ social media channels, which reach a combined social media audience of more than one billion followers.

“Today’s free event will be an amazing taste of the fun, mayhem and surprises Elimination Chamber: Perth promises to drop on WWE fans tomorrow night, when the WWE Superstars take to the ring at Optus Stadium.

“We know Elimination Chamber: Perth will be an unforgettable night of sports entertainment, with scores of fans gathering to watch top Superstars battle it out for WWE supremacy including thousands from out-of-state, injecting millions into our tourism and hospitality industries.

“I’d encourage everyone to come down and experience today’s huge fan event at Optus Stadium’s Southern Oval – especially those who’ve travelled to Perth – and for those without tickets, to snap up the last seats for tomorrow night’s spectacular.”
