We are updating the local policies in our planning scheme to improve the framework we use to make planning decisions. The policies are being introduced through Amendment C269.
This update to the Yarra planning scheme ensures our policies reflect the needs of our growing and evolving city.
It presents them in through to simplify and modernise Victoria’s planning policy and rules.
Extensive community feedback was used to develop Amendment C269. This was collected through a number of projects, beginning with our in 2015.
Additionally, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has been consulted and involved through the translation of the planning scheme and the proposed changes.
You can view the amendment and provide comments until Friday 20 November 2020. However this project will be closed between Saturday 22 September and Saturday 24 October.
