Who are the unsung heroes who make a real difference in your community? It’s now time to give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for a local Australia Day award.
Tamworth Regional Council has opened nominations for Australia Day Awards at Tamworth, Manilla, Barraba and Nundle. The Awards recognise individuals and groups who are making a significant positive impact in their community.
Tamworth Region Mayor Russell Webb encourages residents to nominate community members who go above and beyond to help others.
“The Awards are a great way of recognising the efforts of individuals or groups that are making a real difference in our community,” he said.

Barraba is seeking nominations for Citizen of the Year, Frank Darlington Young Citizen of the Year (for Barraba residents aged 23 years and under) and Community Event of the Year.
