We are pleased to present the draft Glenferrie Place Plan – a visionary document that outlines the transformation of the Glenferrie precinct in Hawthorn.
The draft Place Plan combines more than 18 months of extensive research, analysis and community consultation. Over 1,700 people shared their big ideas for the future of the precinct and helped prioritise these ideas through a series of online surveys, workshops, pop-up activities, events and more.
The draft Place Plan sets out nine major initiatives to guide the transformation, with each aiming to achieve the community’s collective vision.
Glenferrie will be a vibrant and accessible place where everyone feels welcome. The streets and public spaces will offer more greenery and opportunities for people to meet, shop, learn and hold events. The local economy and community will flourish, with people and businesses representing the area’s rich diversity.
The proposed projects and initiatives range from short-term, cultural and economic projects, through to longer-term initiatives, establishing Glenferrie as a highly sought-after destination.
Delivery of these proposed projects and initiatives will occur over several years, and we remain committed to seeking your ongoing feedback to guide their implementation before they are delivered.
You are now invited to provide feedback on the draft Place Plan until 7 December 2021.
