Melbourne, Monday 12 February 2024 – YourLand Developments, a leader in sustainable residential communities, is collaborating with RACV Solar, a provider of cleaner energy solutions. Together, they will install high quality 5KW solar systems on every home in Society 1056, a 93-hectare site, fostering a greener and more sustainable neighbourhood.

The environmental impact of the initiative is significant. Annually, a 5KW solar system can reduce a household’s carbon emissions by 6.063 tonnes. For the 1,300 homes in the neighbourhood, the combined reductions are equivalent to planting 130,000 trees, recycling 341,000 bags of rubbish, or reducing 32 million kilometres of driving by an average petrol-powered car. Cost benefits to households are just as significant with the systems expected to save residents up to $1,375 per home annually.
