Police have arrested four youths following a string of incidents in Fawkner this morning.
The occupant of a Baird Street address disturbed a group of youths allegedly trying to break into his home shortly after 2am.
The group fled empty handed and police were notified.
Police patrolling the area looking for the burglars became aware of a break-in at a pizza shop on Anderson Street about 2.50am.
Arriving a short time later, officers arrested four fleeing male youths including one which sustained a dog bite to his calf during the arrest.
Police will allege the youths were also involved in a number of car break-ins in the surrounding area shorty before the burglary.
The teens remain in custody, assisting police with their enquiries.
